This page explains how Pursuit Brief handles a fast-moving vehicle story without turning reports, rumors or civilian-model specifications into “confirmed” police facts.
What the status labels mean
- Confirmed
- Supported by a relevant official source, or by direct event facts plus multiple independent records where an official product page does not yet exist. The page states exactly what is confirmed rather than stretching that source into adjacent claims.
- Reported
- Credibly reported by event participants, specialist publications or multiple independent outlets, but not yet published as a final Dodge/Stellantis police specification.
- Unknown
- No reliable public source reviewed provides the final answer. “Unknown” is not filled with an estimate simply because a likely answer exists.
Source hierarchy
- Official / primary: Dodge, Stellantis Fleet/Pro One, Police Fleet Expo / event organizers, government or test-agency material.
- Established independent reporting: automotive and general-news publications with named authors and source attribution.
- Specialist reporting: enthusiast/fleet specialists that may have closer access or technical depth but require careful separation of observation from prediction.
- Community / social: Reddit, public social posts and comments. Useful for audience questions and eyewitness context; not treated as final specifications unless independently confirmed.
How civilian specifications are used
The new police prototype is tied in reporting to the Charger R/T. That makes Dodge’s official civilian R/T specifications useful context. It does not make every civilian R/T number a police specification. The main page therefore says “civilian R/T reference” when using Dodge’s 420-hp / 468-lb-ft figures.
Freshness and update policy
The public article shows a real reviewed date: Aug. 14, 2026. That date should change only when the content is substantively re-researched and updated. A new official Charger PPV product page, order guide, final fleet specification, test result, price or production announcement would qualify.
The page is static and does not claim to be live. No script automatically changes the “last reviewed” date.
Corrections

Important factual claims were checked against the linked public sources, and the page explicitly says there was no first-hand vehicle inspection. Automation is not used to invent quotes, reviews, credentials, social profiles, prices or dates.
Privacy in the delivered build
The provided site code includes no analytics, advertising, newsletter form, user accounts, tracking pixels or third-party embeds. It sets no application cookies. Hosting/CDN infrastructure may process ordinary request metadata under the operator’s own policies once deployed.
